VIEW Micro Metrology is a division of Quality Vision International, Inc., and a leading provider of micro metrology solutions in the semiconductor, consumer electronics, and medical device industries.
MICRO METROLOGY SPECIALISTS
VIEW Micro Metrology is a division of Quality Vision International, Inc. (QVI), formed in 2005 after the acquisition of two pioneers in high precision video measurement systems.
- VIEW Engineering introduced the world’s first video coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in 1976, introducing innovations in optics, lighting and imaging software.
- Micro-Metric Inc. produced some of the world’s most precise optical metrology systems for semiconductor, PCB, and MEMS industries.
While both companies brought tremendous intellectual property into the merger, their incorporation streamlined operations, led to product improvements, and allowed access to QVI’s larger network of manufacturing and software resources.
OFFICE LOCATIONS
Post-merger, VIEW Micro Metrology operated from two locations – a US office in Tempe, Arizona serving North American markets, and a second base in Singapore, serving Asian markets. The company also markets through a global network of Authorized Representative companies.
Following the enactment of the US Chips and Science Act in 2022, QVI moved the Tempe office to its headquarters in Rochester, NY and recently established the VIEW Micro Metrology Center of Excellence (COE). VIEW is proud to have the COE located within the NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub, also known as the New York State “Semiconductor Superhighway”. This facility boasts a climate-controlled lab with VIEW Micro Metrology measurement systems for application studies and software training, and dedicated meeting space for visiting customers and industry associates.
OUR PRODUCTS
Today, VIEW Micro Metrology supplies integrated production measurement solutions that primarily serve the semiconductor, electronics high-volume manufacturing, and medical industries. Available solutions are based on a full line of non-contact optical metrology systems which utilize precision fixed optics, sub-pixel edge detection, linear motors, and high-resolution scales for exceptionally accurate and repeatable measurements both point-to-point and within the field-of-view.
Versatile software packages enable both speed and accuracy to meet the demands of high throughput applications. VIEW Micro Metrology offerings are primarily turnkey solutions requiring close involvement in the design, implementation, commissioning, and support for full production integrations.
